Dallas Writing Project is a small business that operates virtually out of Dallas, TX. We began as a writing service focusing primarily on resumes, but overtime we have grown to include LinkedIn portfolios, essays, letters, flyers, websites, tutoring, and more. As DWP grows, our hope is that our impact on the community does as well. To learn more about our services and WHY we do what do, continue reading below.

Hello! I earned my BS in Kinesiology (minoring in English) from Texas A&M University and a Master's degree in Education from Southern Methodist University. I have more than 10 years of experience as a Writing Consultant, which involves reviewing, revising, and editing various forms of written content. I also have seven years of experience teaching Writing and four years in various leadership roles reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and hiring qualified candidates.

Blaire Odom

Operations Manager

 

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Sam Houston State University and have extensive background in education as a classroom teacher and mentor. Aside from my pedagogy experience, I am deeply entrenched within the local community. In my role with Dallas Writing Project, I manage various daily operations and work alongside clients to better understand their needs, answering questions in order to connect them with team members who can help.

Senior Writer, Career Services 

 

I earned my BS in Agricultural Science from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education from Abilene Christian University. I have more than 10 years of experience working with internships and career centers in a university setting, including relationship building with community organizations, private companies, and public universities. My experience also includes establishing new career development/training programs and adding value to those that already exist. With DWP,  I provide direct services related to career coaching and resume writing.

Hello, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English (minoring in History) from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Based in Austin, TX, I am a writer and editor with more than seven years of experience in diverse freelance projects, working directly with various content that has been published in both print and digital forms.  My experience also includes several years as a writing tutor, assisting people of all ages with essays, applications, and resumes.

Hi! I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, triple majoring in Business Fellows, Economics, and Marketing with a Nonprofit Concentration and minoring in Spanish. I then received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University. I have worked in the education sector as a high school teacher and non-profit program director for the past nine years. I am excited to work alongside DWP because I believe all individuals deserve the opportunity to receive a quality education and to pursue their future goals.
